I have joomla 1.5.9 with the last version of payplans i think it was payplans 1.4.13

in the meantime i'm going out so if you can answer this by around GMT 6pm [6 hours away] Ill still have this faulty install on the site.

Otherwise i'll reinstate the pre-install database and see if i can de-install the old payplans 1.4 and use the installer on a fresh install with no existing payplans.

we wouldn't normally install over a 1.4 payplans, this was just to see if it would work to save time.

Its better to upgrade your Joomla version 1.5.20 or upper version. If you are unable to upgrade then Please do following hack :
1#. GoTo Root/administrator/com_ppinstaller/helpers/precheck.php
2#. You can see first function "checkJoomlaVersion" .
3#. Remove following code from this function

thanks, the code mod does allow install now.

However, all the settings, those users with subscriptions etc, plans, apps we had for the payplans 1.4 version have disappeared, is this normal? Certainly one would not want that to happen on upgrading payplans in a live public site.. if you want I can re-run the install with the old database..

Now that 2.02 is published, may I ask how we obtain a migration ability to import our existing jmember subs into this payplans.?

PayPlans 1.4 version un-installled When migration started.

Please follow few steps for migration:
1#. You have "Revert" option on the PayPlans Installer screen. Click on 'Revert' link. (Your current database (only payplans tables) will be reverted to your previous version)
2#. Now you will see "Migration" option. Click on migrate button. (Your data will be migrated. Migration will take few minutes so kindly stay on the screen)
3#. You can see helper message for further processing.

Please let us know, if still you have any doubt or any kind of issue.

i have migration button but its not active.

there are no buttons such as 'migrate' active. what do i have to do?

AS far as i remember, on first usage of ppinstall there were no options to get into migration, the sequence went directly from version to install. on the furure runs it does exactly the same, misses out backup and migration buttons, goes straight to the install button.

Are there any docs for this ppinstall component?

BUT i do not see a revert button or link, on the ppinstaller page, where is it?

and i found the place to reactivate the ppinstaller, its not called extensions manager, its called install/uninstall [select components] in the menu items, although the page title is extensions manager [as on your ppinstaller text description] when its showing,

I will wait until the situation clarifies before doing anything else.

Bear in mind we are using the test site with the jmember subs system installed but inactive, obviously because we hope to test migration from jmember when your company can provide the function, I started a seperate thead on that today.

I don't have skype set up just now, I will try to find my camera :) for it.

the wide lefthand menu is obscuring part of the page text, on my firefox 12 / win xp computer, when i scroll the page up..

Manish.. I was looking at your installation manual and I think that the installer skipped the payplans tables backup, i did not see any msg about successful backup.. which might mean it did not notice the payplans 1.4

When you have had a look at our test site let me know if we need to put the old database back in.. thats easy, reinstating the site files to previous [with the payplans 1.4 component files present] as well would take longer, but I could do it if really necessary. [ftp download/upload using joomlapack]

I have checked your site. You did not installed PayPlans 1.4 or lower version of Payplans2.0 so you don't required any type of migration (from 1.4 to 2.0). Thats why PayPlans installer directly installed latest PayPlans kit without any back-up and migration.
(Back up and migration only perform when you switch to one major version of PayPlans to another major version.)

End of month, we will plan to provide MaaS(Migration as a service). On this service, you can migrate your subscription data (from any subscription system) to PayPlans System.
