Using PayPlans is quite easy to understand and then it becomes easier to sell your membership via PayPlans. Here we will be discussing the basic workflow of PayPlans from the scratch.

Download & Install

Downloading PayPlans:

  • Firstly, you are required to subscribe a plan (out of 3 available). If you are not logged-in, then the page will ask you to register with few simple steps. After that, you can subscribe a plan of your choice.
  • Now, you can goto "My Downloads" and download the latest kit of PayPlans

Installing PayPlans:

  • Installation of PayPlans can be done from the Joomla! back-end of your website.
  • For proper installation process of PayPlans 2.0, follow these steps. In case of PayPlans 1.4, follow the steps described here.

Payment Gateway

Payment gateway is a method through which you can perform online transactions. Good news is that, you can use various payment gateways with PayPlans. Just a single app needs to be created from the appstore provided with PayPlans and the payment gateway becomes ready for your use.

  1. Go to the Apps tab of PayPlans and create a new app.
  2. Select any payment gateway from the available ones.
  3. Fill your account details of the payment gateway and give a name to the app.
  4. Now, this can be used to collect payments from your customers.

Creating Plans

Plans should be created to sell your membership(s).

  1. Go to the Plans tab of your PayPlans kit.
  2. You can follow the steps given for creating plans in PayPlans 2.x series and PayPlans 1.x series.

Subscribing Plans

When you subscribe any plan, it means that for a certain duration of time you are ready to take the services served by the plan. You may or may not be asked to pay for those services.

Back-end:

You can view the back-end steps for subscriptions for both PayPlans 2.x series and PayPlans 1.x series.

Front-end:

In case of front-end process, when a customer views your plans he/she can subscribe them by clicking on "Subscribe" button. As soon as the payment is received (in case of paid plans) the subscription becomes active and the customer will be able to enjoy the services.

Invoicing & Payments

Whenever a customer subscribes a paid subscription, then invoices are generated. The customer has to pay for the plan according to the amount calculated in the invoice.

On the other hand, payments can be taken by using payment gateways or by means of offline payments system.
