Installation

This manual guides you thoroughly about the installation procedure of PayPlans 2.0.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Joomla version: Any of the latest releases of Joomla i.e. 1.5, 1.7, 2.5 or 3.0.
  2. PHP version: 5.2.9 or above
  3. MySQL version: 5.0 or above
  4. cURL (Library of PHP)
  5. PHP Memory Limit: 32 MB
  6. Maximum Execution Time: 30 seconds

Recommended Requirements:

  1. Joomla version: Any of the latest releases of Joomla i.e. 1.5, 1.7, 2.5 or 3.0.
  2. PHP version: 5.2.9 or above
  3. MySQL version: 5.0 or above
  4. cURL must be included before starting the proceedings.
  5. PHP Memory Limit: 64 MB
  6. Maximum Execution Time: 30 seconds

FRESH INSTALLATION OF PAYPLANS:

Single Click Installation Procedure:

  1. Go to extension manager and browse for the installation file of the PayPlans installer.
  2. Click on upload and install. You will be automatically redirected to Payplans Installation Page.
  3. Before starting the installation, the installer will check the compatibility issues. If there exists any compatibility issue, then you won't be able to move further in the installation process.

  5. After clicking on Install button, you will redirected to installation tab directly.
    4.1 Un-install : This will un-install the previously installed Payplans(if any).
    4.2 Extract Zip : Extract the Zip file of Payplans.
    4.3 Install : Payplans-Installer will install Payplans from the extracted zip.

  7. Finalize step will remove the temporary items, which were created during installation and which are not necessary to have and some minor patches will be applied.

  9. Finish page shows a brief description about Payplans and its apps.

  11. After clicking on Next button you will redirected to Payplans' dashboard page. You can start using Payplans now.
  12. After installation, it is suggested that you should clear the Setup Checklist.

MIGRATION OF PAYPLANS VERSION

In case, you are migrating from PayPlans' older version to the latest one, then the following steps will light your path.

Migration is done only when you move from an older version of PayPlans to the latest one. Below are the steps describing the process of migration.

  1. First of all, backup of the PayPlans tables (database) will be stored seperately.
  2. Then, you can click on "Migrate" to start the migration process.

  4. On the next screen, you will be able to view the status of the migration process. As soon as, all the steps complete, you will be taken to the next screen.
  5. Note: Wait for migration to complete, do not tamper with anything during the continuation of migration process. (Completion of migration will be shown by green colored tick marks on every step of migration).

  6. Installation will be completed in the very next step and you will be redirected to next screen.

  8. On the finalize screen all the minor patch will be applied.
  9. Rest of the step is same as above in Fresh Installation.

REVERTING MIGRATION

If you want to revert your migration from the newer version of PayPlans to an older version, then you can follow the steps listed below:

  1. Look for PayPlans installer under "Components > payplans-installer". It gets disable after the installation of Payplans. So you need to either enable it from Extension =>Extension Manager => Manage or install the payplans-installer.
  2. Select "Revert" to revert the installation.
  3. All your database tables of your previous version will be restored automatically.

Note: If, some errors occur during your installation you are suggested to revert the steps.
